MG Gloster
Gloster is the most sought after automobile of MG motors as it is the only SUV in its segment to have level 1 autonomous driving technology, meaning an automobile that shares control with the driver. The driver still has to take care of the steering though. Gloster comes in four variants – Super, Sharp, Smart and Savvy. Super and Smart only have a lower-spec 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine and the other two come with a twin-turbo 2.0-litre diesel motor. The former offers 163 PS and 375 Nm and the latter unit makes 218 PS and 480Nm. The latter is a better choice to make it drives all four wheels along with terrain selection, unlike the 2.0-litre turbo diesel that only drives its rear wheels. Both the variants have an 8-speed automatic transmission and each of them come in two kinds of seating one is 6 seater and the other is 7 seater.

Toyota Urban Cruiser
This Toyota beast would have looked exactly like Vitara Brezza, if not for its twin-slat grille and slightly more amplified fog lamp housing. The three variants of Urban Cruiser are Mid, High and Premium and they all have either manual or automatic suspension. The safety features are well in place with dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors and on top of that a rearview camera. The engine specifications for this car is 1.5 litre that develops 105PS and 138Nm of torque. You can have a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed torque converter automatic. It also has innovative infotainment installed with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, steering mounted audio controls, climate control and last but not the least, push-button start.

Mahindra Thar
The Thar is a vehicle that is supposed to play in rough terrains and its features are well equipped for that. The two engine options: a 130PS with 300 Nm 2.2-litre diesel engine and a 150PS with 320 Nm 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine offer a choice of 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission and a 4×4 drivetrain with a low range transfer case as standard. The Ax variant has a mechanical locking differential while the LX variant has a brake locking differential for better off-road capability in addition to the AX features. Kia Sonet
Kia Sonet, the most marketed SUV of the season shares its base characteristics with the Hyundai Venue but it has a whole new vibe to it with different interiors and exteriors. Sonet has 2 trim levels and 3 engine options – an 83PS 1.2 litre petrol, a 120PS 1.0 litre turbo petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine in 100PS 115PS. There are 6 variants of Sonet HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX, HTX+ and GTX+. The market is filled with Sonet-like SUVs such as Ford EcoSport, Maruti Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Nissan Magnite and many others but Sonet distinguishes itself by having in-demand features.
