Yami Gautam’s much-awaited crime-thriller movie trailer “Lost” was released by Zee5 entertainment on its YouTube channel on Wednesday. Yami Gautam starring lost is helmed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury. This movie also stars Pankaj Kapur, Neil Bhoopalam, Pia Bajpiee, Rahul Khanna, and Tushar Pandey in significant roles. This film will start streaming on Zee5 on February 16, 2023. Pink movie fame director once again comes up with a great story which hooks the audience with their seats and gives them a roller coaster ride of emotion.

The 2-min long trailer starts with a disclaimer that “around 885 people go missing or disappear in India every year. In every two minutes a person goes missing”, according to the National Crime Record Bureau report of 2019. Then the story moves forward to a woman who’s lodging an FIR for her missing brother. Shikha Sharma (Yami Gautam), an investigative reporter undertakes this investigation on her own and starts a quest for the truth behind the disappearance of a boy, Ishan Bharti played by Tushar Pandey, who was a member of the young theatre activist. While she’s trying to solve the mystery by putting missing puzzle pieces together, she’s running into trouble with powerful people. But she still continues her investigation and approaches the missing boy’s family, who tell her that they’ve been facing harassment on the pretext of inquiry. She also meets his girlfriend, where he was last seen and questions her about Ishaan. Will she find out the truth about Ishan’s sudden disappearance or get herself into big trouble?

This film is inspired by true events. During her interview, the actress said that she is really excited that the film is finally released and the audience will get to see the character which is very close to her heart. She added that whoever watch the film yet, had a very good and positive response to it, so, she is eagerly waiting for the film to release now.

This film started the shoot in July 2021, in Kolkata and wrapped up by the end of August 2021. The film premiered at Chicago South Asian Film Festival and received a standing ovation. It was also selected as the closing movie of the Atlanta Indian Film Festival.
