Karan Johar may have to deal with a new issue as a result of the recent controversy surrounding his popular talk show”Koffee With Karan.”
The seventh season of “Koffee With Karan” has returned and is currently only available on Disney Plus Hotstar. As they invited megastars like Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt for the first episode, the programme got off to a flying start and attracted a lot of views in the first week alone. The first episode of the show more than lived up to the hype, thanks to Ranveer and his hilarious antics, which made the entire audience laugh. Sara Ali Khan and Jahnvi Kapoor, two newcomers, were called to the show by Karan Johar for the second episode. The head of Dharma Productions, Karan Johar, who is sitting on the other side of the sofa, has recently come under fire for allegedly plagiarizing material for one of the game portions while the show continues to draw both affection and attention from viewers in equal measure.
Ranveer Singh was the star of the show in the pilot episode of the seventh season and public absolutely loved the way he spoke throughout the episode
Using social media, a writer and journalist criticized the producers of the show for using a question she had originally prepared for the Janhvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan episode. The two girls were tasked by Karan in the second episode to identify movies based on poorly explained plotlines. One of the questions that was asked during the show was, “A grown man who can’t tie his shoelaces ends up accidentally revealing his hidden identity to his former nanny.” “Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham” which was directed and produced by Karan Johar was the answer to the puzzle.
This incident occured during the last segment of the episode where the celebrities where present at the MyGlamm Zone
The plagiarism was called out by journalist Manya Lohit Ahuja, who also noted that she had published a similar article for a media site in 2020. She wrote, “So #KoffeeWithKaran lifted the IP I started at @iDivaOfficial and used the whole copy verbatim??? I came up with this concept and I had a lot of fun writing these but to not be credited just because it was frivolous is not acceptable!? If you lift the copy, give the credit.” On Instagram she wrote, “I have decided that I cannot let this go. I want credit for my work, it may not be world-changing work, but it is mine nonetheless.” Karan Johar, Disney Plus Hotstar, and author Shreemi Verma were all mentioned in the post. Whilst, Karan Johar or anyone from the show are yet to make a comment on this post. Also included is the article Manya Lohit Ahuja published for iDiva in 2020. It was the same question that surrounded Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. Calling all Bollywood buffs: Identifying the film using these bad explained plots was the article’s tagline.
Apart from a few interactive discussions, this episode was quite boring in comparison to last week’s episode
Every season of Koffee With Karan has some sort of controversy, and sooner or later, these issues become the buzz of the town. Due to statements made by numerous guests on the show, we have witnessed numerous arguments and conflicts in earlier seasons as well. When superstars from the Indian cricket team, Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul, were invited to the show during the sixth season, a lot of inappropriate language was spoken on public television. This sparked debate about the show as well as the lifestyle of these Indian senior team players.
This episode had to deleted later on due to the controversies and hate surrounding the celebrities
Alia Bhatt responded to one of the most basic questions with a dreadful response in one of the earlier seasons as well. Additionally, as a result of that memorable episode, Alia Bhatt endured at least a year of being teased and had to rebuild her confidence. Despite the widespread disdain for Koffee With Karan, some people wait every Thursday to watch the programme and watch Karan engage in a heated conversation with his guests. Tomorrow at 7 PM on Disney Plus Hotstar, Koffee With Karan will broadcast its upcoming episode.
